Weekly is plenty for most accounts. Both lists have to be fetched in full each time and TikTok throttles repeated requests, so the app suggests around 3 refreshes per 24 hours at most.

The app says so rather than comparing against incomplete data and reporting people as non-followers who are not. Wait a while and refresh — the cause is almost always rate limiting.

No. FollowTok is built for TikTok specifically. Instagram's follow lists work differently and are served differently, so a TikTok tool cannot simply be pointed at them.

You sign in to TikTok inside the app on your own device, through TikTok's own login screen. The session and both lists stay on the phone, nothing is uploaded to our servers, and we never see or store your password.

Let both lists finish loading, then turn on airplane mode and reopen the app. If everything is still there with no connection, it is genuinely stored locally. If it empties, it was being served from somewhere else.
